22这事以后，耶稣和门徒到了犹太地，在那里居住，施洗。 23约翰在靠近撒冷的哀嫩也施洗；因为那里水多，众人都去受洗。 24那时约翰还没有下在监里。 25约翰的门徒和一个犹太人辩论洁净的礼，26就来见约翰，说：拉比，从前同你在约但河外、你所见证的那位，现在施洗，众人都往他那里去了。 27约翰说：若不是从天上赐的，人就不能得什么。 28我曾说：我不是基督，是奉差遣在他前面的，你们自己可以给我作见证。 29娶新妇的就是新郎；新郎的朋友站着，听见新郎的声音就什喜乐。故此，我这喜乐满足了。 30他必兴旺，我必衰微。 31从天上来的是在万有之上；从地上来的是属乎地，他所说的也是属乎地。从天上来的是在万有之上。 32他将所见所闻的见证出来，只是没有人领受他的见证。 33那领受他见证的，就印上印，证明神是真的。 34神所差来的就说神的话，因为神赐圣灵给他是没有限量的。 35父爱子，已将万有交在他手里。 36信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不着永生（原文作不得见永生），神的震怒常在他身上。

生死只在一瞬间。前天，就是2月12号，一夜的雨夹雪将得克萨斯州Fort Worth 的35号州际高速公路变成了 "冰层"，结果导致133辆汽车连环相撞，车祸现场长达1.5英里。直接造成至少8人死亡数十人受伤的特大恶性车祸。在一段视频中， 我看到前面的小汽车已经停在路上了。可是，极其恐怖的是后面飞驰而来的18轮卡车无法停下， 直接把前面的小轿车撞飞到空中， 压在卡车的下面。生死就是那么一瞬间！一瞬间， 死亡就临到了。一瞬间，人就离开世界了。一瞬间，生死隔离，一瞬间，天壤之别了！同样， 对于所有人， 永生和永死的决定时刻， 只在一信间。
信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不着永生*， 神的震怒常在他身上。(约三36 )

John 3:22-36
22After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. 23Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were coming and being baptized. 24(This was before John was put in prison.) 25An argument developed between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew over the matter of ceremonial washing. 26They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan—the one you testified about—look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him.” 27To this John replied, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven. 28You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him.’ 29The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. 30He must become greater; I must become less.” 31The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. 32He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. 33Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. 34For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. 35The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. 36Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

Life or death can be determined in a split second. The day before yesterday, on February 12, a night of sleet and rain turned Interstate 35 in Fort Worth, Texas into "ice". As a result, 133 cars piled up on IH35, stretched 1.5 miles long, and this horrendous massive pile-up caused at least 8 deaths and dozens of injuries. In an accident video, I saw the car in front had stopped on the highway. However, what was extremely terrifying was that an 18-wheeler that was speeding up from behind could not be stopped, and it directly knocked the cars in front into the air and pinned some of them down. Life or death is determined in that split second! In an instant, death came. In an instant, people departed from the world. In an instant, the living and the dead are separated, and in an instant, there is a world of difference! Likewise, this could happen to anyone of us. The decisive moment of eternal life and eternal death is determined by one’s faith.
Those who believe in the Son have eternal life; those who do not believe in the Son cannot have eternal life, The wrath of God is always on him. (John 3:36)
Conclusion:
Life and death are separated only by “faith,” those who believe in the Son have eternal life, but those who do not believe in the Son cannot obtain eternal life.
